October 5, 2010: Meeting of the Intergroup 174 with the Commissioner Ciolos
The meeting of the” Intergroup on Mountains, Islands and sparsely populated areas”, was organized on Tuesday, October the 5th and dedicated on the topic: The Reform of the CAP and specific territories.
Before the communication of the European Commission on the reform of the CAP, expected in November 2010, we followed the analysis presented by the Commissioner Dacian CIOLOS on this strategic topic for European territories and their balance.
Three fundamental related reports have also been discussed:
- REPORT on agriculture in areas with natural handicaps: a special health check – by the rapporteur Herbert DORFMANN (IT/EPP)
- REPORT on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy after 2013 – by the shadow rapporteur Michel DANTIN (FR/EPP)
- REPORT on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy after 2013 – by the rapporteur for the Committee of the Regions René Souchon (FR/S&D)
