Proposal for a green paper "For a mountain policy of the European Union: a European vision for mountain ranges"
- In the framework of the prolongation of the Interact Pro Monte project and following the positive "a priori" of President Barroso on the idea of a Green paper on mountain ranges, AEM has worked, with MDP and ADECOHD, on the writing of proposals inspired by the work of the EC on the maritime green paper. This is a document of refelxions and orientations that wants to demonstrate the capacity of mountain territories to be a subject of Communitary caution over their diversity. Then AEM thinks that the plurality of mountain regions allows a differential approach in the same manner than for maritime or river bassins in order to valorise their potentialities.
